Recent Event : UGADI- APRIL 2011

We at Telugu Association of Basingstoke UK (TAB-UK) celebrated the Ugadi festival on Sunday 10th April at Carnival Hall, Basingstoke. As it was a first of its kind in Basingstoke North Hampshire area, many people attended the event along with their families.  Around 130 people attended the event. The event started at 12:30pm with prayer by Mahati , 5 year old girl.  The celebrations were continued till 5:00 pm in the evening. Main high lights of the programme were Panchanga Sravanam  and Kuchipudi Dance by two young girls. Other cultural programmes include Telugu mimicry by young boy and various skits by our members.
